Chandigarh to Sri Anandpur Sahib is 80 km and takes approx. 1:30 hrs. by road.
Buses - air conditioned, deluxe, semi-deluxe or ordinary - of several State Road Transport Corporations connect ISBT, Sector- 43, Chandigarh with many cities and towns of neighboring states. From there, one can board a bus to Sri Anandpur Sahib.

The triangular shaped Entrance Foyer, open on all sides, is the hub of arriving and departing visitors. A large plasma screen orient the visitors on how to derive the maximum benefit from the museum. The Cloakroom here is a pivotal point to orient visitors into the museum. The visitors can also avail the facility of multilingual audio-guides at the issuing station that is located after the first gallery.
Museum Cafe is situated under the Connecting Bridge, where one can have tea, coffee, cold drinks, different snacks, breakfast & lunch.
Additionally, there are two kiosks, one at the Parking and other at Ticket Booth near Qila Anandgarh.

The Western side of the museum also houses a 428 seating capacity centrally air conditioned auditorium equipped with modern infrastructure.
The auditorium is available on rent for Govt. and Private organizations to hold seminars, cultural activities and events etc within the confines of Punjabi culture.
Museum Shop is situated adjacent to Entrance Foyer where one can purchase books, artefacts, traditional & cultural items, statues, photographs etc.
Parking facility is available for parking the vehicles near the Ticket Counter.
Among other amenities, wheelchairs are available for the differently abled persons.
Washrooms are situated at Ticket Booth (adjacent to parking), at Museum Cafe, at Auditorium, at Library, at Entrance Foyer and also at mid-gallery section. In case of need the visitor can inquire from the Visitor Services Associates (Guides) and Security Guards deployed inside the museum.
